Tomorrow, September 24th, students are invited to attend See You At The Pole starting at 7:30AM. Elementary students can participate at the front flag pole near the Elementary building, and Secondary students can participate at the front flag pole near the high school building. If weather is uncooperative, the Elementary will hold the event in their gym and the high school will hold the event in the HS Commons area!

Tonight is the last night of Hadestown! If you haven't got a ticket to ride that train, it may already be too late if we have a crowd as big as last night! Here are a few more pictures to show off our talented cast, and a few extras from Friday night!

Hadestown is an amazing musical performed by a talented group here at Gary HS! You still have two more chances to see this at the Gary Black Box Theater, tonight at 7PM and tomorrow at 6PM! Tickets are $10 each and they are going fast!

On Friday, 34 students from Gary FFA attended the SFA Experience. Students attended two sessions. The first session was on campus where they split off into groups that covered Forestry, Horticulture, Ag Mechanics and Ag Education. After leaving campus they headed out to the Ag Farm in groups that covered Animal Science, Poultry, and Veterinary Science. Students were able to experience some cool aspects of the agriculture industry today while representing Gary FFA!

We’re posting a little late, but we couldn’t miss the chance to celebrate last week’s spotlight team!
Our youngest learners are surrounded by an incredible team of caring and dedicated educators!
In Pre-K, Mrs. Amy & Mrs. Ashlie and Mrs. LaGrone & Mrs. Angel work side by side to create a fun, loving, and supportive environment where our littlest Bobcats can grow and thrive.
In Kindergarten, Mrs. Robyn and Ms. Isbell bring joy, energy, and excitement to learning, helping their students build confidence and discover their love for school.
We are so thankful for this amazing group of ladies who make learning a wonderful adventure every day!

We have some more Habit Heroes to share for this week; Madisyn, Braylen, and Kinsler! Madisyn was proactive and encouraged her class to be helpers in the cafeteria. Braylen was thinking win-win in the bus when he worked with others to help the younger kids who struggled to get into the large bus seats. Kinsler put first things first by correcting his mistakes and apologizing without being told to do so!

Parents, this is just a reminder to please drop off Elementary students at the cafeteria from 7:15am to 7:55am. Please do not drop them off at the front of the school during this time.
Our latest Habit Hero is Knoxx Reneau, who continues to be proactive in his class and seeks to solve problems without being told to by the teacher!

This year the Yearbook staff are excited to share a new feature for GISD students and families; Photoshare! Everyone can take part in making our 2025-2026 yearbook the best ever by submitting photos of school activities! Use the QR code or go to https://tinyurl.com/26GPhotos for more details!

Our Volleyball girls are selling Pink Out shirts for our Pink Out game being held on October 3rd! If you want one, you can pick up an order form from the front offices and payment details are on the flyer!
UPDATE: There are also youth sizes available, we apologize that they aren't on the form but if you want to purchase a youth size just write it in!

Gary Elementary has great students that will be future leaders in our community! Today, we have two that are our first Habit Heroes of the week, Boston and Heatyn! Boston was a Habit Hero for being proactive and handling a problem with a leaking water bottle instead of ignoring it and letting water spill everywhere. Heatyn was a Habit Hero for thinking win-win and helping the entire class with cleaning supplies in his classroom stations!

Attention parents of the 8th grade Class of 2030, we will have a parent meeting on Monday, September 15th at 4PM in the Media Center to go over preparations for the Haunted Trail and other Fall Festival information! Please join us for a short meeting before we all go and cheer on our JH volleyball girls as they take on EF!
Good morning Parents and Students,
We have very few people who have signed up for the Band App. We ask that both parents and students make sure they have joined the Band. The google classroom guardian feature is not wanting to work for us, which means only students will be able to join the google classroom. Parents, rest assured, you can still view this information with a student as well as have access to it on the band app.
The deadline to fill out the sign in/information form is fast approaching (September 15), this will allow your Ag teacher to know who will be showing what animal species. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Creech or Mr. Shadix.
