We have very few people who have signed up for the Band App. We ask that both parents and students make sure they have joined the Band. The google classroom guardian feature is not wanting to work for us, which means only students will be able to join the google classroom. Parents, rest assured, you can still view this information with a student as well as have access to it on the band app.
The deadline to fill out the sign in/information form is fast approaching (September 15), this will allow your Ag teacher to know who will be showing what animal species. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Creech or Mr. Shadix.

Cash Stutes - a fourth grader at Gary Elementary exhibited his Mini Hereford at the West Texas State Fair in Abilene, Texas over the weekend August 29th-30th. He placed 4th in the Junior Show, and 8th in the Open show.
He also participated in the East Texas State fair this past weekend in Athens Texas with his Mini Hereford and a Limi heifer!

Parents, in order to comply with new state laws (SB 12) over parental rights, we are sending information and consent forms for health and counselor related services here at Gary ISD. Please review these forms, and return them signed to the school as soon as possible. Seniors will receive the form on Tuesday morning to take home! If you have any questions about the information, do not hesitate to contact the school nurses or counselors and they will gladly assist you! This information can also be found on the Parent Resources section of our website at https://www.garyisd.org/page/parental-rights.

Tuesday's home Varsity Volleyball game has been cancelled due to a scheduling conflict. Our Teacher Appreciation Night game will now be held this Friday. The event begins at 4PM at the high school gym, come cheer our girls on as they celebrate their teachers and take on Kennard!
Gary is off to an amazing start in our Change Drive for Ethan, our brave 2nd grade student currently battling cancer. THANK YOU to all who’ve donated so far — your kindness is making a real difference!

Our hearts are with Beckville students and families during this difficult time. We offer our thoughts and prayers for the families, students, and staff affected. May they find strength, comfort, and peace in the days ahead.
The Principles of Agriculture class has been learning about the FFA Creed. Today students got to have a ❄️snowball fight❄️ with puzzle pieces of the Creed. After, teams had to find their respective color paper and gather up all of their puzzle pieces. It was a race against the clock to put the pieces back in the correct order to recreate the 1st and 2nd paragraph. This was a great way for students to work together and study for their Creed test tomorrow!
