Parents and students,
A friendly reminder that today our Fresh Country Meat and Dessert order will be delivered. All Students who sold items must come and get the products they sold or arrange for them to be picked up between 11AM and 6PM TODAY. We do not have a place to store these frozen items so the sooner they can be picked up the better, but it has to be today. If you have a questions please get with Mrs. Creech or Mr. Shadix.

We just wanted to give a huge thank you to all of our students and community for the support they gave to Ethan and his family for the Change for Ethan drive. Our students were able to raise $5,752.99 to help Ethan's family with his cancer treatments!
After the final tally, our 3rd grade class gave the most, followed by 2nd grade and then 5th. Thank you so much for everyone that helped with this drive!

We have had a lot of great kids doing great things to be leaders at Gary Elementary this week, here are just a few of the good things they have done so far; Kyler was thinking win-win by seeking solutions so everyone around her wins. She even gave up something so a friend could feel supported when they were down! Cruz was proactive and volunteered his free time to help a teacher clean their class after a busy day in science! Jonah was proactive and modeled to his peers how to put up their Chromebooks so they would be fully charged every time they are used! Before leaving to go to their next task, Jensen put first things first by making sure their table was cleaned in the library! Brantley and Gracie spent the weekend thinking win-win and synergizing by raising funds for Ethan, where they worked together to establish a creative methods to raise those funds and were able to donate $1,200 to support their classmate!
This is by no means the only good things our students have done this week, and we are proud of everyone as they practice their skills to become great leaders in our community!

On Tuesday, October 14th from 5-7PM, Panola will host a Transfer Fair, where multiple universities will attend and show students what they can do to continue their education after earning their Associate's at Panola College! This is a great chance for Juniors and Seniors and dual credit students to stop by and see what they should do to prepare for their future college endeavors!

If students attend, they will also get to take the exam for free! It's that time of year again and we are starting October off with Hal-O-Grams! Order forms will go home with elementary students today. Additional forms can be picked up in both the Elementary & High School front offices. Thank you from the Class of 2027!
After lessons over Newton's Laws and torque, Rockets students worked in groups of three over the course of only three class periods to build a vehicle powered by a mousetrap. The objective was to achieve the longest distance compared to the other groups' mousetrap cars, and building materials were limited to what the teacher provided. The winning car made by Cooper Johnson, Katherine Philley, and Brooks Beard traveled 70 feet down the high school hallway! Working in groups to achieve goals is a very important component of our Rockets class, and the skills they practice now will help them as they build their competition rockets in the Spring!
