
Our high school FFA Talent team prepared for their District FFA Convention Talent Contest with a private concert for our 5th graders today. This is Gary's first talent team in their history! We wish them luck as they compete in Longview!




Everyone's invited, our Homecoming Pep Rally starts on Friday at 1PM in the HS Gym! We will have morning sales for the pep rally; sunglasses are $2, pom poms are $1, and beads are 2 for $1. The Homecoming Court will start at 5PM, before the basketball games against Joaquin!


GISD Cheer are offering Val-O-Grams for Valentine's Day this year! For $5 you can send someone a stuffed animal, candy, and drink along with a special message! Forms and payment are due by February 8th.


Attention Seniors and Senior parents; scholarship season is almost upon us! Soon, Mr. Davis will meet with seniors to go over the local scholarship packets, but there is one important thing all seniors need to take care of as soon as possible; the FAFSA! With the new FAFSA now being rolled out, we hope to have a FAFSA Night in February, but we highly encourage families to get a head start and begin the process now. Elementary parents, the 100th day of school will be on January 30th! We encourage students to dress up like a 100 year old or have a shirt with 100 things on it!

Loblolly will have a Homecoming Reception for past members on Friday, January 12th from 2:30-3:30pm in the HS Commons area!


Tomorrow's Varsity Girls and Boys basketball games will begin at 5PM! There will be no JV game tomorrow night. Come out to GHS and cheer on our teams as they take on Tenaha!

Don't forget to come to the Esquire Theatre tomorrow at 6PM! Tickets are just $5 and you get to see all four shows. The shows are all rated G so everyone can come!

Literacy Night was a great hit, and we are so thankful for parents that came with their kids and spent time with us enjoying some great and funny stories, and some nice treats! Congratulations to all that won the door prizes last night, and a huge thank you to parents that supported our book fair throughout this week!
