Several of our Gary students participate in rodeo events throughout the school year and summer.
These events enrich the lives of athletes by preserving our western heritage through the sport of rodeo, promoting family values, and providing future opportunities through college scholarships. Along with buckles, banners, and saddles, students are able to collect prize money at each rodeo.
Gary students competing in rodeo events are: Braley Weems, Emorie Comer, McCade Reaves, Bryce Reaves and Kaison Holloway.
We would like to congratulate these students on earning huge successes throughout the year and wish them good luck as they travel across the country participating in a variety of events like: barrel racing, pole bending, tie down roping, goat trying, breakaway roping and more!

Mrs. Bryan, 5th/6th grade Social Studies teacher at Gary Elementary and Ms. Shadix, Agriscience Teacher at Gary High School teamed up for a special project! Students in Ms. Shadix’ Floral Design classes created floral arrangements to recognize the paraprofessionals, school nurse and bus drivers in appreciation for the work that they do for the students in Gary!
Students in Ms. Shadix’ Floral Design classes used the lessons taught to plan and implement the arrangements. These students did an amazing job with this request!
Mrs. Bryan and her students were able to deliver 14 arrangements to say “thank you”!
