Fall picture retakes will take place this Wednesday! If your child was absent during the previous picture day, they may take their picture that day. These are the pictures we use for our yearbook, so we encourage everyone to participate!

Our first pep rally of the year was spectacular! People said you could hear the cheers from way outside the high school gym! Thank you to everyone that came, and for all the students and staff who participated in the fun! We hope to see everyone continue to cheer on our Varsity Volleyball girls as they take on Shelbyville today at 4:30!

Our 4th grade students had a special guest appearance of Willy Wonka. They celebrated the end of their book study of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Willy, Golden Tickets, and of course chocolate bars. 🍫



Gary kicked off our Pink Out Day in style! Thank you to our HS Volleyball girls for opening car doors this morning and helping the kids get into the cafeteria!







Gary Elementary students kicked off the spooky season with a visit from The Story Lady and the story of Spookley the Square Pumpkin!

Today, we were excited to announce to our 10th graders the new Panola Promise program that is available for all 10th grade students who reside in Panola county! If your sophomore is able to do at least 25 hours of community service, and maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher, they can earn tuition and fees for up to three years at Panola College! This is an amazing opportunity for our students, but the deadline to apply is coming up. All applications to participate in this program must be submitted by November 30th!
If your 10th grader is interested in applying, all they have to do to start is fill out the application found at https://www.panola.edu/promise

Gary FFA held its 2nd chapter meeting of the year during CAT on Tuesday, 10/3 where members were served “Harvey Burgers,” received FFA Fundraising forms, and students who qualified for their letterman jackets through Gary FFA were presented their jackets!

We had over 40 students from grades 10-12 participate in our at-school ACT event! These students worked hard, and overcame a few technical difficulties to complete this exam, and regardless of the results we are proud that they took this step towards their college preparation! Thank you to our students, their parents, and our staff for participating and helping make this run smoothly!


This Friday is going to be awesome! Our Pink Out Pep-Rally will be big, and the HS office will be selling some Pink Out bling for those that want to come dressed out!


Thank you so much for these two ladies who help take care of our schools. From accidental spills to making sure our campus looks great, they are the best!



Important message for Gary High School students; if you registered to take the ACT tomorrow morning, please make sure you are in the Commons area by 7:50 to receive instructions on where to go! Don't forget to have your Chromebooks fully charged, and bring a calculator!
