This week our Market Lamb Exhibitors are in Fort Worth competition at the first Texas Major Livestock Show of the year. Market lambs provide an excellent project for 4-H and FFA youth to learn about being responsible for animals. Along the way, they learn more about the sheep industry and agriculture in general. The market lamb project teaches how to own and work with lambs; how to take responsibility for lambs’ health, care, and growth; and how to win or lose competitions gracefully.
Colston and Connally Cranford exhibited their Finewool Cross lambs in extremely hard classes (with over 40 lambs competing at times) and did an amazing job! They both qualified for premium money and will exhibit these lambs at future shows!
Placings:
Colston 9th
Connally-12th
Both boys along with Madelyn Tinkle will show again today! We want to wish them good luck on the rest of the show!
