Students in Foster Care
When children are placed into foster care, lives are often changed very quickly. For many children placed in foster care, a new school environment is thrust upon them. Gary ISD is dedicated to providing a positive educational experience and environment that promotes academic success for students experiencing out-of-home placement.
To help with the enrollment of foster children, foster parents should provide Form 2085, which designates that the student is in the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services Managing Conservatorship.
