The best laid plans…
There are moments in life that help you realize just how little control we have over things. Yesterday was one of those moments. There was no way anyone could have predicted the power outage at Daniel Springs, and though we waited as long as we could, there was no way to have a performance there last night.
But we are not giving up or giving in! The show must go on! These kids have worked their hearts out for this performance, and they are going to shine! So, here is the plan for the weekend.
WE ARE ONLY HAVING ONE PERFORMANCE – SATURDAY NIGHT, MAY 4th.
ALL tickets (those for Thursday and Saturday) are good for Saturday night.
SATURDAY – The plan will remain as originally scheduled. Students are to report at 5:00 pm, with doors opening at 5:30 pm and the performance at 6:00 pm.
For the performance, please remember to have your child a snack or small meal before arriving. They will be busy performing and need energy! No food will be allowed in the backstage area. However, please make sure your child brings plenty of water to drink throughout the performance. Please put names of water bottles.
Students, please remember to wear your WHITE tank top or undershirt and shorts to the performance area. Please remember that boxes are to remain at Daniel Springs after the performance with ALL costume pieces issued to you by Mrs. Cawthon. The only items you will take home are those you purchased yourself from your list.
Thank you so much for your understanding and flexibility through this unforeseen situation. Though I know this was a little hiccough in the road, it does not deter the enthusiasm being felt by all as we look forward to a WONDERFUL performance!
